Between 1894 and 1899, Lucien Bonvallet designed several silverware pieces intended
for the Exposition Universelle of 1900, all decorated with a vegetal pattern such as thistles,
columbines, mistletoe, clovers, etc.
These models were exhibited on the occasion of a retrospective dedicated to Lucien Bonvallet
in January and February 1913, at the Pavillon de Marsan, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris

Le dos à quatre nerfs est frappé du titre de l’ouvrage et du nom de l’auteur. Cadres intérieurs de même maroquin, coins décorés, filets dorés. Doublures et gardes de moire violette. Tranches dorées. Couverture et dos conservés. Etui. (LEHAYE rel).
Illustré de nombreuses compositions miniatures en couleurs et or de Léon Carré, coloriées au pochoir.
Tirage limité à 910 exemplaires, celui-ci le n°159 des 135 sur Japon impérial contient un état en noir des illustrations sur vélin mince. Ex-Libris R. Nossam.
